If you’ve been reading Currents for any length of time, you know from previous fashion issues that I have stated for the record on numerous occasions that I am not, and possibly never will be, a fashionista.
If you were to see my closet, you would realize immediately that I understand and fully have embraced the most basic and least interesting of fashion trends and concepts — lots of everything in the color black!
No, I never have been one to watch the red carpets and runways or to scour through glossy magazines with great anticipation of the next season’s trends and forecasted fashions. Thankfully, I can rely on stylist Donna Morrow-Alusheff and other fashion writers on staff, working in tandem with our favorite retailers, to keep readers in the know about the latest and greatest fashions available here in Northeast Ohio. So for insight, inspiration and some well-researched ideas about what to look for, where to shop and what to invest in this season, enjoy our fall fashion Section B.
Fashion aside, I hope to direct readers this month to Section D, highlighting the exciting opening of South Franklin Circle, a brand-new Chagrin Valley community with every imaginable amenity planned for and geared toward adults ages 55 years and older. We are proud to feature in Currents the scope and success of this massive project over the past couple of years which finally has come to fruition with its scheduled Grand Opening on September 30.
Currents extends its warmest welcome to South Franklin Circle charter members, its new and future residents, its staff, employees and all others involved there who undoubtedly will enhance the quality of and add to the vitality of life in the Chagrin Valley. — Kelli Cotesworth McLellan
