Beaumont School “Beaumont Gala”

Beaumont School’s Gala drew 300 people to the Western Reserve Historical Society’s Crawford Auto Museum. Funds raised directly support the school’s scholarship fund.

Guests enjoyed a private patron reception, with many taking rides on the carousel. The event included a cocktail reception, dinner presented by Taste of Excellence, a live and silent auction and raffle. Entertainment was provided by the Marino Brothers.

The overriding theme of the gala was honoring Beaumont Alumnae’s Legacy of Service, which is embedded in the school’s mission. Beaumont students proudly complete nearly 12,000 hours of service through their four years at the school, and alumnae carry that on through their lives.

Sister Gretchen Rodenfels, president of Beaumont, offered the welcome and blessing. She noted that 52 percent of the girls at the school are on financial aid, with the Gala’s funds benefiting their education. The event was co-chaired by Beaumont parents Mark and Stacey Mazzurco.

Tables featured cards with quotes from graduating seniors sharing the importance of service to their lives. The evening also featured a student address from Bridget Ebner. Also recognized were distinguished alumnae Mary Lou Deucher Fuerst, Sharon Latkovich Valente and Ericka Ames Owens.

Beaumont School, an all-girls Catholic School in the Ursuline tradition, is located in Cleveland Heights. Its origins date back to 1850. STORY AND PHOTOGRAPHS BY SUE REID
