Never fear…the next generation of charity supporters has the fundraising scene well in hand. Erin Slater, Chastity Embrescia, Heidi Scaravilli and their committee worked 14 months to pull off a visually stunning, financial blockbuster, thanks in part to Scott Wolstein, who graciously donated his home for the event.
More than 780 people came to the magnificent grounds of Ravencrest, a 36,000-square-foot English manor residence in Hunting Valley. Early arrivals could tour the ground level and first floor, and peek at the indoor lap pool and sauna, wine cellar, greenhouse and playroom for Scott’s dogs.
Outside on the terrace and by the pool, guests enjoyed hors d’oeuvres by Marigold Catering. Camping never looked as elegant as it did this night with Stephen Tokar’s artistic theme arrangements and decorations. An “after-party party” featured White Castle sliders and a DJ spinning the tunes.
The honorary co-chair list is too long to list here, but a special nod to Fairmount Minerals, presenting sponsor of this first-time event.
Founded by David and Jenny Belford, Flying Horse Farms in Mt. Gilead is affiliated with the Hole in the Wall program started by the late Paul Newman and provides children with serious illnesses a brief respite of fun and outdoor adventure. “Campfire’s” astonishing $400,000 will provide a big boost for this group.
