Guess Who’s Coming to the Party?

The charm of the Keno Brothers, Leigh and Leslie, celebrated hosts of the PBS “Antiques Roadshow,” authors, reality show creators and designers of a new furniture line, took Sedlak Interiors in Solon by storm at a recent benefit for Dunham Tavern Museum.
And, it’s mostly thanks to Jan Sedlak, whose own charm, tenacity and comedic timing, as evidenced by her humorous remarks on stage, brought them to Cleveland.
Co-chaired by Ms. Sedlak and Brenda Ellner, the event paid tribute to Dunham’s newest undertaking and a $1.5 million fundraising campaign — to create an oasis in Midtown Cleveland on property adjacent to the museum — green space that will feature an urban farm and market, picnic tables, educational programming, a meditation garden, outdoor amphitheater and jogging trails. It’s a modern day “Walden” Dr. Ellner said.
The Sedlak warehouse, decorated for the event, thanks to Ric Eickhoff and his team, was the scene for the Keno brothers’ presentation.
Patron Margaret Giltinan purchased three pieces from the Keno brothers’ collection, and has been a longtime customer at Sedlak’s ever since her mother used to take her there when she was 15. Janis Evans was ecstatic with the signed table she purchased at the patron party.
A portion of the sale of each piece was donated to the Dunham Tavern Museum, which is the oldest building on its original site in Cleveland, and is rich in history as a former home and then a tavern on the stagecoach route in the 1800s. STORY AND PHOTOGRAPHS BY SALI McSHERRY
