Editor’s Note

This issue of Currents celebrates one of the best seasons of the year in Northeast Ohio – spring has finally sprung and summer is soon to follow! It’s the time of year we move outdoors to enjoy nature and special events (A6), patio dining (A4 & D6)), art fairs and festivals (A10 & B8), home & garden tours (D3-4 & D8), summer travel and vacations (A7-8 & A10) and more.

It’s also prime time to attend to our homes and gardens, including projects such as enhancing landscaping and home exteriors for better curb appeal (D5) and cleaning and organizing garages, power washing siding and decks, and perhaps installing energy-efficient windows and treatments (D10).

Grin and Bare It! … through the hot summer months by considering and investing now in the latest products and procedures available to have you looking your best in the shorts, swimsuits, dresses and sandals of the season (B4).

Home renovation projects are often tackled at this time of year, so learn what others have accomplished or are working toward as you plan your own renovations and restorations (D3-4 and D11-D12).

Father’s Day falls on the first day of summer this year, June 21, and we’re in the midst of graduation season and gatherings, so see our Dads & Grads Gift Guide for 2015 on pages B1-3 for gift ideas and inspiration.

Rob Muller and Caroline Merk attended this year’s Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum Induction Ceremony to provide coverage of that exciting event for you (C2) and somehow, Greg Harris, president and CEO of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum since 2012, found and made time to meet with them afterward for an interview about his imprint on and vision for the future of this Cleveland landmark and treasure (C1).

Actress Monica Potter has returned to Northeast Ohio by purchasing her childhood home on the lake and by recently launching the first retail store to offer her Monica Potter Home line in Garrettsville (D7).

What an exciting time to live on the North Coast! Enjoy! Kelli Cotesworth McLellan
