Flashes of Hope “Big Shots and Little Kids”

“Flashes of Hope,” founded by Allison and Kip Clarke in response to their son’s battle with childhood cancer, filled The Q with 1,500 supporters for a night of Las Vegas magic and monster-sized fundraising.

“Big Shots and Little Kids” pairs up community leaders with children in various stages of cancer treatment for a lively fashion show—in which the girls were decked out as little princesses, courtesy of Pat Catan’s, and the boys in snappy suit ensembles. Several Cavaliers players took to the runway with the kids as guests cheered.

The gala featured live and silent auction items and opportunities to win raffles — $19,000 bid on a year’s lease on a Porsche; $33,000 for an opportunity to fly to a Boston Celtics game on the Cavs’ private jet; and most importantly, a fund-a-cure go-round that quickly shot past Allison’s $200,000 goal for a pediatric cancer research study.
