Make-A-Wish Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana “Big Wish Gala”

The Make-A-Wish “Big Wish Gala,” held at the InterContinental Cleveland will help to ensure that the dreams of many young children will continue to come true.

More than 550 guests spent an evening in support of the wishes of kids with life-threatening medical conditions. The evening’s goal was to raise $475,000 to continue to grant the wishes of these youngsters. Since its inception in 1983, Make-A-Wish Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana has made more than 15,000 wishes a reality.

A wish experience can be a game-changer for a child with a life-threatening illness, according to Make-A-Wish. Wishes impact everyone involved, including the children and their families, volunteers, donors, medical professionals and their communities. For wish kids, the act of making their wish come true can give them the courage to comply with medical treatments. A wish can help their parents to feel optimistic, and it can help others to realize that they have the power to change the world through philanthropy.
