    Nowhere but at the second annual Chef Jam would $50 get you dinner at all 26-plus restaurants that participated at the sold-out event held at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum.
    Long before the doors opened at 7 p.m. on a Sunday night no less, hundreds of partygoers clutching their tickets were at the plaza entrance. Once inside and tagged with wrist-bands, people swarmed into the hall to the lower and top floor levels to line up for simply fabulous food. Crop Bistro owner/chef Steve Schimoler was the mastermind of the Cleveland Food Rocks extravaganza whose purpose was for the self-promotion of Cleveland area restaurateurs. Last year the event at the Beachland Ballroom outgrew its tented venue and this year the Rock Hall was jammed (pardon the pun!) with more than 1,000 people. This is a party not to be missed.
    Chefs not only dreamed up culinary creations inspired by their favorite bands but also dressed as musician performers. The exotic viands included such as meatloaf, wild mushrooms and beef tongue to wild boar, curried goat and jambalaya. Music, resounding over the din of people, was played by restaurant bands from Melange, Happy Dog and the Greenhouse Tavern. Finally Steve’s Cream of the Crop band featured the one and only Todd Lundgren, playing an hour and a half long set. Wow!
