Men aren’t supposed to care what they get for Christmas. They are supposed to somehow find the perfect gift for friends, families and co-workers. This is difficult due to the fact that many men want nothing to do with stores that don’t stock television sets or, more importantly, beer.

Thank goodness for the Internet. The best thing about Amazon.com is that it never tries to spray you with the latest fragrance or aces you out of a perfect parking space.

For me, online shopping beats the heck out of in-line shopping. Not to mention the fact I can do it in a 12-year-old Ohio State sweatshirt and a pair of shorts with barbecue stains.

With that in mind, here is my lazy man’s guide to holiday shopping. Lazy ladies can also refer to this if they are looking for gift ideas.

The first La-Z-Boy recliner was introduced back in 1928. Since that time, the recliner has seen many changes over the decades. La-Z-Boy now has chairs that provide massages and heat. If they develop one with a grill attached, I will order two of them. Besides, Brooke Shields is the spokesperson for the company. Check out a multitude of recliners at La-z-boy.com.

Another iconic American brand is Brunswick Billiards, founded in Cincinnati in 1845 by John Moses Brunswick, who came to the states from Switzerland. I’ve always wanted a pool table, particularly one that isn’t manufactured by Hasbro. Of course Brunswick also makes game tables, furniture and accessories. Learn more at Brunswickbilliards.com.

I purchased a Bose wave music system 14 years ago and have never regretted it. The big sound from this small package has never ceased to amaze me and I have yet to encounter any problems with it. Bose also has high quality headphones, home theater and Wi-Fi music and speaker systems. Make a sound decision and visit Bose.com.

It is the 160th anniversary of Timex, an iconic American company. For whatever reason, I have never been able to wear a watch (after a day or two they always stop running). But if I did wear one, I would seriously consider a Timex, which offers everything from digital to intelligent quartz models. Check out the watchmaker’s complete line at Timex.com.

Nothing relaxes like a great cigar and JR Cigars, headquartered in Burlington, North Carolina, has a fantastic selection of both high-end brands like Ashton, Cohiba and Partagas as well as the JR Alternatives line of quality value cigars. You can also find a complete selection of accessories such as cutters, lighters and humidors. You can find a complete catalog at JRcigars.com.

Finally, there is no hotter gift this year than a couple of tickets to a Cleveland Cavaliers’ game. The Cavs offer a monthly lottery for single game tickets over a five-day period during the first week of each month during the regular season. Winners of each drawing can purchase tickets to home games during the following month. To register, go to Cavs.com.

If you don’t win the lottery don’t worry. I know a guy who knows a guy.
